COVID-19 – Over 12.9 mln Indonesians receive complete vaccination

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – A total of 12,912,623 Indonesians have received the full doses of COVID-19 vaccine, as of Friday (June 25), according to data from the COVID-19 Task Force.

Meanwhile, the number of recipients of the first doses of vaccine recorded on Friday (June 25) was 552,594 people, bringing the total tally to 25,482,036.

So far, the injection of the first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has been given to 63.15 percent of the total 40,349,049 people who were targeted for the first and second phases of the COVID-19 vaccination.

The Indonesian government plans to vaccinate 181.5 million people or 70 percent of the country’s population in an effort to achieve herd immunity against the COVID-19.

In order to accelerate the achievement of the target, the government seeks to increase the capacity of vaccination services up to the lowest level of administration.
