Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – As many as 24.81 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been inoculated to Indonesian people until Sunday (May 23), as an effort to achieve herd immunity in the country, said Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto in a press statement here on Monday (May 24).
“We have vaccinated 24.81 million (doses). The first stage of vaccination is 14.93 million doses and the second stage is 9.88 million doses,” Airlangga said.
Furthermore, he added the government continue to anticipate new variants of the COVID-19 virus.
One of them was found in the MV Hilma Bulker ship in Cilacap, Central Java, whose 14 crew members haven been tested positive for B.1.617 variant.
