8 mln liters of Zamzam distributed at Makkah’s Grand Mosque during first 10 days of Ramadan

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has intensified its services during the first 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan by distributing eight million liters of Zamzam water through three million disposable bottles.

In addition, the blessed water is also distributed through 25,000 Zamzam water containers carried in 250 back-bags, as well as 58 smart carts with a capacity of 80 liters and 33 special carts with a capacity of 100 bottles.

The transport services administration increases its preparedness to serve visitors of the Grand Mosque by providing more than 5,000 normal carts and 3,000 electric carts for umrah (the minor hajj) performers and visitors of the mosque to facilitate their transport.

The presidency has recruited more than 100 monitors at the gates of the Grand Mosque for receiving worshippers and guiding them to the right places, organizing the entry and exit of worshippers, and guiding worshippers to praying areas.

More than 100 gates of the mosque have been kept open for the convenience of worshippers.
