Hajj1441 – 6,250 cameras monitor movements at Grand Mosque in detail

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – A total of 6,250 cameras are operating in the Grand Mosque and other holy sites to record all human movements and other technical matters during the hajj season this year.

The operation of the surveillance cameras is managed by the Integrated Command and Control Center, which provides directives and implement the directives in the field, according to Saudi Press Agency quoted by Indonesia Window here on Sunday.

Assistant commander of the Command and Control Center for Hajj Security Brig. Gen. Saad Al-Dosary, said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, have paid maximum attention to the safety of pilgrims in conducting the hajj pilgrimage.

The Integrated Command and Control Center has trained personnel who work efficiently with highly sophisticated technical abilities and technological devices.

All television cameras are operated by professionals who control and monitor every movement and event in the holy places.

Clear and accurate images are sent to concerned personnel in the field so as to deal with any untoward incidents like criminals or traffic violations, or people who need helps.

In carrying out their duties the Integrated Command and Control Center coordinates with all security and military authorities, ministries, governmental and private bodies.

Al-Dosary said the center has the latest advanced technology, television surveillance units, statistics and reports, developed modern plans, and issuing alerts through communications and information technology applications.

Regarding the implementation of health precautions and protocols, Al-Dosary stressed that the center follows instructions just like all other establishments with regard to checking temperature, ensuring physical distance, wearing face masks, and complying with instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

It is also applying health protocols in the field through assisting pilgrims to obtain face masks, provide gloves, and follow the instructions, especially those pertaining to crowd management in addition to extending various services to stem the spread of the pandemic.
