COVID-19 – Indonesia receives 1,000 ventilators from Australia

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesia received a donation of 1,000 ventilators from Australia, which arrived on Friday night (July 9).

The assistance is a form of cooperation between Indonesia and Australia as friendly countries and comprehensive strategic partners.

In addition to ventilators, Australia will also gradually send 2.5 million doses of vaccines, oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, antigen test kits, and other medical equipment.

Apart from Australia, several other friendly countries have also offered support to Indonesia, namely Singapore, the United States, the Netherlands, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, India and China, besides other international organizations.

Previously, on Friday morning (9/7) Singapore sent 200 ventilators, 250 empty oxygen cylinders, 30 oxygen concentrators, and medical equipment, using two C-130 aircraft belonging to the Singapore Air Force.
