Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The World Bank predicts that the Indonesian economy will reach 5.2 percent in 2022, and in 2023 it will reach 5.1 percent.

"Growth could recover around 4.5 percent to 5 percent in the next few years due to very supportive macroeconomic policies," Aaditya Mattoo, the World Bank’s Chief Economist for the East Asia and Pacific Region, said at the World Bank East Asia and Pacific Economic Update Briefing in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Matto said the vaccination program was an important effort to restore the economy, not only for Indonesia but also for other countries in the East Asia and Pacific Region.

In addition to vaccination, he added, the growth will also be achieved through supportive macroeconomic policies, reform measures, and the enactment of new laws.
