On Thursday (March 4), Indonesian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahendra Siregar symbolically released a shipment of Boyolali coffee, Toraja coffee and Flores-Bajawa coffee weighing 1.5 tons to Germany.

As Toraja and Flores-Bajawa coffee products have been exported to the European country earlier, the shipment of Boyolali coffee from Central Java to Germany is the first time.

\"Amid the COVID-19 pandemic which has brought about negative impacts on the economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to support all Indonesian coffee partners to access new markets,\" Deputy Minister Siregar said in his remarks.

Through the Coffee Diplomacy program initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2020, the Indonesian representatives continue to build collaborations with local coffee business players to go global and penetrate the world markets.

Indonesia’s Coffee Diplomacy is expected to make a real and sustainable contribution in an effort to boost national economic recovery and improve the welfare of coffee farmers in the archipelagic country.
