Indonesia’s tourism ministry supports Muslim LifeFest 2024, maximizes potential of halal industry

The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has appreciated event organizer PT. Lima Events which is in collaboration with the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneur Community to hold Muslim LifeFest 2024 from August 30 to September 1, 2024 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Tangerang city, Banten province.

 

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has supported the implementation of Muslim LifeFest 2024 which is expected to maximize the great potential of the halal industry and sharia economy in Indonesia, the ministry said in a written statement quoted by Indonesia Window on Tuesday.

The ministry’s key expert in the tourism and creative economy, Nia Niscaya, made the remark at an event called ‘The Weekly Brief With Sandi Uno’ which took place on Monday (Aug. 26), saying that Indonesia as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world has the potential to become a pioneer in the halal industry and sharia economy.

Sandi Uno is named after Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy  Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.

“Therefore, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy appreciates PT. Lima Events which is collaborating with the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneur Community which will hold Muslim LifeFest 2024 from August 30 to September 1, 2024 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Tangerang city, Banten province,” Nia Niscaya said.

Carrying the theme ‘Collaboration’, this event aims to strengthen the solidarity of the Muslim market in advancing the sharia economy. With a target of 45,000 to 60,000 visitors and presenting 200 booths representing 180 brands.

Muslim LifeFest 2024, which will also be combined with Muslim Edu Fest and Jakarta Halal Expo and Conference (JHEC), provides space for Islamic education exhibitions as well as increasing education and networking in the global halal industry.

A number of countries are expected to participate in JHEC which carries the theme ‘Uniting The World Through Halal Excellent’ to strengthen international collaboration in this sector.

Muslim LifeFest is expected to be an important momentum to maximize the great potential of the halal industry as swell as strong and highly competitive sharia economy so that it can enhance Indonesia’s position as a leader in the global halal industry and sharia economy, and encourage inclusive and sustainable national economic growth,” she said.
