Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The implementation of the 1441 Hajj pilgrimage or that in 2020 is expected to be more comfortable and smoother with a new system that incorporates the cost component of animal sacrifice into the hajj cost.
The integrated payment system will be implemented by the Government of Saudi Arabia for pilgrims around the world starting from 1441 Hijri or 2020.
The new system requires pilgrims to pay their hajj costs through the e-Hajj online platform, Hajjreporters was quoted as saying here on Wednesday.
The amount of the cost of animal sacrifice is the same for all pilgrims, said a statement from the Public Affairs Unit of the Nigerian National Hajj Commission (NAHCON).
The statement said that the authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had introduced new policies in some sectors of the Hajj operation in 2020.
In the e-track meeting in Jeddah on Sunday (12/15), representatives of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah informed the NAHCON delegation that furthermore, the cost of sacrificial honeymoon, otherwise known as Hadaya would be integrated into e-Hajj at a standard price to ensure that all pilgrims paid the same amount globally.
In addition, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Islamic Development Bank will collaborate and agree on a shared price for hajj animal sacrifice. All animal sacrifices must be sourced from animal farms that really pay attention to safety measures to avoid disease outbreaks.
The representatives also said that the Saudi Government prefers to employ third parties in managing the cost of the animal sacrifices.
Appointed parties will be responsible for the work and must report comprehensively to the Royal Government at the end of the year.
For any service that is not properly provided, a complaint ticket will be provided so that the problem can be transferred to the authorized officer to follow up on the matter, such as a refund.
Providing good services for pilgrims is very important, said the statement.
