Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – A statistical reports released by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shows that 347,424 Indonesians have performed umrah in the Holy Land within three months.
According to the ministry, the number of Indonesian pilgrims is the second only to Pakistan with 373,984 worshipers, Saudi Gazette reported as quoted by Indonesia Window here on Saturday.
The report shows that within three months the Kingdom Government had issued 1,647,662 umrah visas, and 1,386,183 worshipers had arrived in the Holy Land.
Of these, 1,328,647 worshipers arrived by air, while 57,525 by land and 11 by sea.
The Hajj and Umrah Ministry noted that 1,075,738 worshipers had left Saudi Arabia after performing the Umrah rituals and visited Madinah pay homage to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and pray at Nabawi Mosque.
The other pilgrims came from India (210,052 people); Malaysia (78,806); Turkey (58,652); Bangladesh (40,168); Algeria (39,220); United Arab Emirates (26,836); and Iraq (21,021) and Jordan (20,855).
