Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has called on Arab and Islamic countries and the United Nations to intensify efforts to open a permanent humanitarian corridor for the Gaza Strip and fail the Israeli occupation’s plan to starve Gazans.

The entry of very limited amounts of aid into the Gaza Stripduring the past two days does not cover the increasing needs of people in Gaza who are subjected to barbaric aggression for the seventeenth day in a row, the movement said in a press statement received by Indonesia Window on Tuesday.

Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas noted that the ongoing siege crippled the humanitarian conditions and caused severe shortages in food supplies and medicine. Not to mention that all hospitals in the Gaza Strip have run out of fuel.

“We call on our Arab and Islamic countries and the United Nations to intensify efforts and open an urgent humanitarian corridor for the entry of fuel, food, medicine, and medical supplies, to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe in the already blockaded coastal enclave,” the movement added.

Hence, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to nothing but genocide and crimes against humanity, which if continued, would be an absolute shame on humanity, it said.
