Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Muslim World League (MWL) and the Indonesia’s History of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and Islamic Civilization Foundation on Saturday (Oct 24) evening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, signed an agreement to build the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and Islamic Civilization Museum in Jakarta.
The signing ceremony was attended by MWL’s Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa and former Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who also serves as the chairman of Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
The document was signed by the chairman of History of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and Islamic Civilization Foundation, Syafruddin, and MWL’s undersecretary general of executive affairs Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al-Matar.
The museum which will be built on an area of more than 100,000 square meters in Indonesia’s capital city of Jakarta reflects the country’s appreciation for the historic Islamic project.
The museum will showcase all the important events from the life of the Prophet (ﷺ), which are presented using the latest technology.
The cooperation agreement also includes the distribution of more than 200 encyclopaedias and books on the Prophet’s (ﷺ) life prepared by MWL during the past three years.
