Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Baku, Azerbaijan, for the fourth time will hold an Indonesian Cultural Festival consisting of various activities and will begin on September 9-16, said the Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Husnan Bey Fananie.
“As usual, this year’s festival will bring the beauty and liveliness of Indonesia to the city of Baku. The Azerbaijani people will witness Indonesian culture, entertainment and food firsthand,” Husnan said in a written statement received by the Indonesian Window here on Wednesday.
According to the Ambassador, the festival was held to establish closer relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Indonesia and is expected to increase cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of economy and education.
On September 9, 2019, the Indonesian Embassy in Baku will hold a diplomatic reception and on September 11, 2019, will hold an Indonesian cultural performance at Heydar Aliyev Palace, a prestigious performance building in Baku, the Ambassador said.
“On September 12, 2019 in the morning there will be a multiculturalism seminar in the fields of Indonesian and Azerbaijani literature, and in the evening there will be a business meeting between entrepreneurs from the two countries,” Husnan added.
The peak event which will be held on September 13-15, 2019 in Fountain Square which is located in the heart of Baku, will feature an exhibition of prime Indonesian products and performances of Indonesian culture.
Meanwhile on September 16, 2019, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism was scheduled to hold a sales mission by inviting tour and travel operators in Azerbaijan.
