Halal Fair 2024 becomes way for Indonesia’s halal MSME business to penetrate global market

The 2024 Halal Fair promotes Indonesia as the world’s halal center, with a variety of flagship products.

 

Tangerang, Banten (Indonesia Window) – The last of Halal Fair in 2024 which is held on December 6-8 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD Tangerang city, Banten province, becomes a platform for building halal MSME business networks in Indonesia in an effort to penetrate the global market.

In his remarks at the opening of the Halal Fair 2024, on Friday, WPCitra’s Project Director, Satrio Sukur, as the event organizer stated that this Halal Fair is the closing of a series of events that have been held in Jakarta and Yogyakarta previously. Therefore, the Halal Fair at the end of 2024 is packaged more creatively in a festival atmosphere that provides an end-of-year holiday ambiance.

In addition, the scale of the Halal Fair is also larger, with the Indonesia International Trade Show (HIITS) event being paired as a means of networking for halal MSME businesses in penetrating the global market.

A number of countries such as Egypt, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Australia and Tunisia are ready to become collaboration and promotion partners for national halal business actors.

“Alhamdulillah (God be praised), through the Halal Fair many fashion, culinary and other product brands have been born. We hope that the Halal Fair will continue to be an inspiration and flagship event that is awaited by the wider community,” he said.

The Halal Fair’s mission is to encourage the realization of Indonesia as the world’s halal center.

“Therefore, in this event, Halal Fair targets both retail and business segments. Halal Fair is a vehicle to strengthen the integrated halal business ecosystem and halal lifestyle, starting from families, communities to a wider scope, namely the international market,” Satrio Sukur said.

At this Halal Fair, visitors have the opportunity to get special promos from around 150 exhibitors of various flagship halal products, explore the taste of various culinary choices, listen to a series of talk shows and business seminars on parenting and child education, and participate in sharing sessions on muamalah (business transaction).

Meanwhile, for business people who want to explore the Malaysian and Australian export markets, Satrio Sukur pointed out that there are a number of interesting and solution-oriented talk show programs presented directly by business practitioners.

Among these events are the talk show under the theme ‘The Secret to Successfully Exporting Halal Products to Australia’ with speaker the Indonesian Trade Attaché in Canberra, Agus Haris Setiawan, and the talk show themed ‘Tips for Penetrating the Malaysian and Egyptian Markets’ featuring business practitioners who are experienced in connecting business people and their partners directly.

The implementation of the Halal Fair 2024 receives support from the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH), the Food, Drug and Cosmetics Assessment Institute of the Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM MUI), the Jakarta Sharia Economic Community (MES), the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), and the National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS).
