In addition, there are also 4,654 inpatient beds in hospitals, 1,080 beds for intensive cares, and 238 special beds used for patients suffering heat strokes.

The Saudi National Meteorological Center (NCM) has reported that the maximum temperature in the Holy Land during the 2022 hajj season is expected to reach between 42 and 44 degrees Celsius during the day.

In addition, NCM also reported surface wind activity during the day at speeds of up to 35 kilometers per hour, lifting dust especially in open areas and highways.

“The wind direction will generally blow from the northwest to the west,” NCM noted.

Meanwhile, it is possible that rain clouds would form in the high altitudes of the southern Makkah region during the period 9-13 Dhul Hijjah, accompanied by strong winds and active dust, NCM said.

The 1443 Hijri/2022 hajj will be the penultimate pilgrimage that pilgrims will perform during the summer season.
