Hajj1441 – Muslim leaders congratulate King Salman for successful pilgrimage

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Leaders of Muslim and Arab countries conveyed Eid al-Adha greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, via phone calls on Friday (July 31).

They also congratulated King Salman’s recovery after undergoing gallbladder surgery, Saudi Press News Agency (SPA) reported as quoted by Indonesia Window here on Saturday.

During the talks, the leaders also congratulated King Salman for the successful implementation of the hajj pilgrimage this year which was held amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said the success of the 1441 Hijri/2020 pilgrimage reflected the ability of Saudi Arabia and its immense experiences in carrying the sacred responsibility of holding the greatest Islamic ritual.

El-Sisi added, the implementation of preventive measures in accordance with the highest safety and health standards allowed pilgrims to perform all rituals in comfort and convenience.

King Salman also received calls from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa from Bahrain; Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed; and Djibouti President Ismail Omar Geulleh, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

All the leaders also stated, the implementation of the hajj pilgrimage this year was successful and extraordinary in the face of unprecedented challenges.
