Hajj1441 – Fatwa Robot serves pilgrims under health protocols

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance through the Directorate General of Information Technology, has launched a Fatwa Robot service.

The service aims at issuing religious rulings and consultations to hajj pilgrims as it keeping health protocols through social distancing, Saudi Gazette reported.

The service which is provided in the Namirah Mosque and Al-Mashar Al-Haram Mosque in Muzdalifah allows pilgrims to have direct communications via visual communications with a team of experts from the ministry, who provide fatwas (a ruling on a point of Islamic law given by a recognized authority) easily and remotely in several languages.

The service is one of the ministry’s efforts to apply international best practices in the framework of keeping pace with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and implementing health protocols for this year’s exceptional pilgrimage.
