Indonesia appoints 10 ambassadors to fellow countries
Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary were appointed based on Presidential Decree No. 112/P of 2025 concerning the Appointment of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and one Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to fellow countries at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (Oct. 8).
The inauguration of the ten Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary marked the beginning of their term of office of representing Indonesia in various parts of the world, the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat said on its website, as quoted by Indonesia Window on Thursday.
The appointment of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary is stipulated in Presidential Decree No. 112/P of 2025 concerning the Appointment of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Ambassador (deputy chief of mission) was inaugurated based on Presidential Decree No. 113/P of 2025 concerning the Assignment of the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia.
On the occasion, President Prabowo led the oath-taking of office of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and the Deputy Ambassador.
The newly-appointed Indonesian Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Deputy Ambassadors are:
Lukman Hakim Siregar, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Syrian Arab Republic, based in Damascus;
Adam Mulawarman Tugio, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, based in Hanoi;
Andy Rachmianto, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the European Union, based in Brussels;
Kuncoro Giri Waseso, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt, based in Cairo;
Birandan Helmy, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Azerbaijan, based in Baku;
R.M. Iman Hascarya Kusumo, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur;
Listyowati, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, based in Dhaka;
Syahda Guruh Langkah Samudera, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Qatar, based in Doha;
Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Singapore, based in Singapore;
Laurentius Amrih Jinangkung, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, based in The Hague;
Irene, Deputy Ambassador at the Indonesian Mission in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
With the inauguration of these Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, President Prabowo emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening Indonesian diplomacy at the global level, expanding strategic cooperation, and championing national interests amidst the ever-evolving global political and economic dynamics.
