Achmad Ubaedillah invited Indonesian figures and citizens in Brunei to always pray for their fellow believers in Palestine, who are increasingly being oppressed by the Israeli aggression.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Achmad Ubaedillah, reiterated that Indonesia stands firmly with the Palestinian people who are still in the grip of Israeli Zionist colonialism.
According to a press release from the Indonesian Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, Ambassador Ubaedillah made the remarks at a ceremony commemorating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), at the Indonesian Embassy Hall in Bandar Seri Begawan, on Tuesday.
The event was organized by the special branch of Nahdlatul Ulama (the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia) in Brunei Darussalam, collaborating with the Indonesian Embassy.
At the event which was attended by around 200 Indonesian citizens in Brunei Darusslam, Ambassador Ubaedillah stated firmly that Indonesia condemned Israel’s colonization of the Palestinian land.

Previously, at a diplomatic reception in celebration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day in Bandar Seri Begawan on November 7, 2023, Ambassador Ubaedillah expressed the support of the government and all the Indonesian people for the struggle of the Palestinian people.
Besides condemning all forms of violence committed by Israel against civilians, the ambassador called on the international community to stop war and all forms of violence against civilians as well as attacks on public facilities in Ghaza.
“Indonesia stands firmly with the Palestinian people and condemns Israel’s colonization of the Palestinian land,” Ubaedillah stressed in his remarks at the diplomatic reception.
Regarding the event commemorating Prophet’s birthday on November 12, 2023, the Indonesian ambassador to Brunei Darussalam further said that religious moderation in Indonesia is the basis for the progress of the Indonesian democracy.
He also reminded Muslims, especially those living in Brunei, to maintain their Islamic commitment and sense of nationalism to avoid disputes and disunions.
“The social cohesion that occurs in Indonesia is inseparable from the role of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia, especially Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah,” he said.
