Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – A number of well-known car manufacturing companies around the world have issued electric-powered vehicle version in an effort to save fuel while protecting the environment.
According to media statistics, there are at least 800 large-and-small-scaled companies in Taiwan that provide hardware, software and technologies needed by the world’s major electric car manufacturers.
Among the 800 companies, there are even those that have never been in touch with automotive industries before.
Taiwan’s Calin Technology, for instance, applies LiDAR technology, which is used to guide cruise missiles, to electric cars. With this technology, an electric car can accurately detect conditions 200 meters in front of it.
Meanwhile, Taiwan’s Hiwin Technologies has developed a digital precision steering system required for electric cars, and the quality even exceeds that of German and Japanese products.
There is also Taiwan’s Phihong Technology, which collaborates with German Audi Motors and becomes the first company in Asia to build 360 kilowatt fast charging stations which is able to recharge batteries in just 10 minutes for 600 kilometers driving distance.
Each of the 800 Taiwanese companies has unique technology ranging from software to hardware, making world’s major auto manufacturers have chosen to partner with Taiwan.
