Over 400,000 Indonesians perform Umrah in four months

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Statistics from the Saudi government show that the Royal Hajj and Umrah Ministry has issued 2.37 million visas for umrah (minor hajj) within four months since the minor hajj season began on August 9, 2019.

The data showed that 1,938,991 worshipers had arrived in Saudi Arabia, while 1,559,764 people had left the Holy Land after completing their pilgrimage rituals and praying at the Nabawi Mosque in Madinah, the Saudi Gazette reported in Saturday.

Of the figures, the number of pilgrims from Pakistan was the biggest with 495,270 people, followed by Indonesia 443,879, and India 262,887 worshipers.

The fourth largest number of umrah pilgrims came from Malaysia with 116,335 pilgrims, followed by Egypt with 104,820, Turkey 78,512, Algeria 80,238, Bangladesh 73,142, the United Arab Emirates 46,370, and Jordan 32,011 worshipers.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia has launched an Inaya (service) center to provide comprehensive and varied services for pilgrims.

The center contributes to the realization of the objectives of the 2030 Kingdom Vision and improve services for pilgrims.

The center is available in areas where worshipers gather in Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah.

The pilgrims and those who arrange their affairs and the hajj and umrah service companies can handle all their matters in the center through a self-service system or by directly contacting the authorities.
